Luck, Destiny and Free Play  Part 2

Luck, Destiny and Free Play  Part 2

Is man a puppet of Destiny?

In Part 1, we explored the interplay of Luck, Destiny, and Free Play, the eternal triad shaping human existence. We delved into the doctrines of Fatalism, which advocates surrendering to inevitable outcomes, and Nihilism, challenging the inherent meaning of life. Concepts like Conspiracy Theories and Religion offered contrasting perspectives—one weaving secret narratives, the other seeking harmony through divine frameworks like Karma and salvation. We examined the Charvaka philosophy and Hedonism, which call for embracing life's pleasures and rejecting dogmatic rigidity. The role of Luck as a random force, Destiny as life's scripted journey, and Free Play as the assertion of human agency rounded out this philosophical landscape. Each ideology reflects the paradoxical nature of humanity, caught between autonomy and the larger forces shaping existence.

Now, in Part 2, we take a deeper dive into these ideas, seeking to reconcile their contradictions and uncover a unified framework that harmonizes cosmic principles with personal freedom.

Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved.  William Jennings Bryan

Unable to fully grasp the principles underlying these varied and often contradictory philosophies, we frequently align ourselves with one perspective or another. Alternatively, we may adopt a middle ground, blending elements from opposing views or attributing the inconsistencies to some divine or unfathomable plan. For instance, some people choose to believe that life is entirely governed by fate, surrendering to the idea that everything is predestined. Others vehemently advocate for free will, asserting that each individual carves their own path through choices and actions.

Meanwhile, those who are uncomfortable with these extremes might adopt a hybrid approach—acknowledging luck as an influencing factor, free will as a guiding tool, and destiny as an overarching framework. This compromise often results in vague explanations like fate only favors those who try or luck is where preparation meets opportunity. While such interpretations offer temporary solace, they fail to satisfy the deeper quest for understanding the true mechanisms at play.

Astrology is one of the great delusions of the human mind. It has no scientific basis, and its success depends on exploiting our natural tendencies to find patterns and seek explanations.  Stephen Hawking

This fragmented understanding leads to a persistent sense of chaos in navigating life’s challenges. Is there a universal truth underlying these diverse perspectives?

To truly understand the enigmatic interplay of these philosophies, we must delve deeper into the COSMIC PRINCIPLES that govern their operation. These principles act as the unseen forces shaping human thought, existence, and behavior, offering a potential explanation for the apparent contradictions between destiny, luck, and free will.

In this part, we aim to uncover these cosmic principles, investigating whether they can provide a scientific framework to demystify the workings of philosophies and their influence on the eternal chaos of humanity. Through this exploration, we seek clarity, not only to bridge the gap between reason and belief but also to illuminate the path to a more unified understanding of our place in the cosmos.

Before going further into this exploration of cosmic principles and their role in the interplay of luck, destiny, and free will, I encourage you to read my earlier articles on Cosmic Science. These pieces delve into the foundational ideas that provide a backdrop to the concepts discussed here, equipping you with a deeper understanding of the subject.

The links below will guide you to these articles:

  • Cosmic Science 1

Cosmic Science  1 explores the supraphysical realm, operating on principles beyond our tangible world but grounded in empirical methods akin to physical sciences. Unlike spirituality or religion, it is a rigorous scientific discipline awaiting the development of advanced instruments to validate its principles. Current progress in psychology and medical science offers glimpses into its potential, such as improved mental health care and the mindbody connection. However, these are just the beginnings of a broader field poised to uncover transformative insights about health, consciousness, and existence. Practical applications of Cosmic Science promise enhancements in wealth, health, and social influence, making it a groundbreaking frontier for the future.

Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.  JeanPaul Sartre

  • Cosmic Science 2

Cosmic Science  2 builds on the foundational principles introduced earlier and focuses on the practical application of these concepts in everyday life. It emphasizes that Cosmic Science is a logical and accessible extension of material science into the supraphysical realm, distinct from religion, spirituality, or occultism. The approach involves proactive engagement with cosmic energies, treating the body and mind as instruments to harness and direct these forces toward personal growth, wellbeing, and fulfillment. This practice, described as cosmic energy engineering, relies on disciplined manipulation and alignment of cosmic principles to achieve desired outcomes. By cultivating a mindset and lifestyle aligned with these principles, individuals can unlock transformative potential and shape their reality with purpose. The focus remains on rational exploration, free from external beliefs, empowering practitioners to achieve holistic wellbeing and personal transformation. This article illustrates how Cosmic Science offers a pragmatic, resultsoriented path to understanding and leveraging the cosmos in meaningful ways.

The controls of life are structured as forms and nuclear arrangements, in a relation with the motions of the universe.  Louis Pasteur

Cosmic Science 3

Cosmic Science posits that the universe is an abundant reservoir of resources, accessible to all. It likens the cosmos to an ATM full of limitless opportunities, with the physical body as the card to withdraw from this wealth. However, accessing these resources requires understanding and using the ‘cosmic code,’ which involves aligning body, mind, and life force.

The body serves as a finelytuned instrument for engaging with universal energies, while the mind acts as the driver, guiding our intentions and focus. Practices like meditation and mindfulness sharpen mental clarity, allowing us to perceive and harness cosmic energies effectively. Life force, or prana, is the animating energy that sustains life, and balancing it enhances vitality and our connection to the cosmic flow.

By nurturing health, mental discipline, and spiritual awareness, Cosmic Science empowers us to tap into this infinite abundance and transform our lives holistically.

Having set the stage by exploring the forces that influence our visible life, we are now ready to delve deeper into the profound mystery of Luck, Destiny, and Free Will.

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.  Viktor Frankl

To begin with, let me state categorically that all three concepts—Luck, Destiny, and Free Will—are valid and inseparable aspects of life. They are not distinct entities functioning in isolation but rather interconnected elements of a greater whole—Life itself.

Think of them as the colors, lines, and shapes that come together to create the unique painting of our story on the canvas of existence. Each one is essential, and none can be understood fully without the others. They merge and flow into each other, forming the intricate patterns that define our journey.

The starry vault of heaven is in truth the open book of cosmic projection.  Carl Jung

We will explore the aspect of Luck later in this article. First, let us delve into the other two elements—Destiny and Free Will.

Destiny The concept of destiny is deeply intertwined with the principle of Karma. Karma represents a universal law akin to Newton’s third law, operating on a cosmic scale: every action elicits an equal and opposite reaction. Here, however, action extends beyond mere physical deeds to encompass the emotional energy they generate—both within the individual performing the action and in the hearts of those affected by it. It is the emotional resonance, both in quantity and quality, that defines the karmic ripple.

As I have emphasized earlier, the Cosmic Law is not something separate from our physical universe; rather, it is an extension of it. The physical universe represents the denser, tangible matter, while the cosmos embodies a more refined, subtle materiality—an ethereal substance that science has yet to quantify. This limitation arises not from any inherent impossibility but from the constraints of current human technology and laboratory equipment.

I envision a future where humanity will develop advanced scientific instruments capable of measuring the elusive cosmic material. Technologies like EEG and MRI represent only the earliest steps in this direction—pioneering glimpses into the interplay between the physical and the intangible. Recent advancements in quantum mechanics, brain imaging, and energy field studies further hint at the potential to bridge this gap.

Until such breakthroughs are achieved, we must rely on the theoretical framework of this concept. While we may not yet have the means to observe or quantify its mechanisms directly, the outcomes and consequences of its influence on the material world are both evident and measurable. These tangible effects provide compelling evidence of its underlying presence and operation.

In Part 3, we will delve into the current scientific advancements in these fields to gain a clearer understanding of the progress achieved thus far and the journey that remains to bring the realm of Cosmic Science fully under the microscopic lenses of scientists.
