Conflict Resolution - An Opportunity to Boost Productivity

Conflict Resolution

What is Conflict Resolution? To know that we must first know what is a Conflict which we are going to resolve. But first we need to resolve our ‘conflict’ with the understanding of the term 'conflict resolution’.

The most common perception of a conflict resolution is observed in following searches in Google

Conflict resolution is the process that two or more parties use to find a cordial solution to a problem.

Here conflict is considered as a ‘problem’ to be resolved.

What is conflict resolution, and how can you use it to settle disputes in your workplace?”

Here conflict resolution is equated with the ‘settlement of disputes’

Where there are people, there is conflict. We each have our values, needs and habits, so it's easy to misunderstand or irritate one another – or worse, to fall into conflict.”

Conflict resolution is conceptualized as the methods and processes involved in facilitating the peaceful ending of conflict and retribution.

A conflict is a situation, in which inacceptable differences in interests, values, expectations and opinions occur in or between individuals or groups. “

Sri Anand Yoga (SAY) offers a unique perspective on conflict resolution. Instead of viewing conflicts as problems or disputes, a negative framing, SAY focuses on the underlying cause: a dis-synchronisation of Life Fields. This concept suggests that conflicts arise when the energy fields of individuals become misaligned, similar to how non-alignment within an organisation can cause dysfunction.

Sri Anand Yoga (SAY) offers a unique perspective on conflict resolution. While strong Life Fields are a valuable asset to any organisation, misalignment between them can lead to conflict. This might seem counterintuitive, as strong Life Fields often correlate with higher productivity. However, when these strong fields clash due to a lack of synchronisation, it can create friction. Conversely, individuals with weaker Life Fields may experience less conflict, but overall productivity might suffer. The key lies in achieving synergy – when strong Life Fields are well-aligned, they can generate phenomenal results.

What is the process of synchronisation of Life Fields of different individuals is a matter of separate study. It will be discussed in another note.
